RIT Hosts Sessions for Adult and Continuing Education Candidates in July and August
Program will provide essential information for prospective adult learners
Today’s tough job market has caused more adults to take advantage of educational opportunities at colleges and universities. Rochester Institute of Technology is helping to address the needs of adult learners by offering a program that will help them sharpen their skills or earn that elusive degree.
The Adult and Continuing Education Information Session will be held 5-7 p.m. July 20 in the Bausch & Lomb Center on the RIT campus. A second session will be held 5-7 p.m. Aug. 9 and a third session will be held 5-7p.m. Aug. 24 in the same location. By calling 866-260-3950 or 585-475-2229.
The session is particularly helpful to those who are looking to update professional skills, complete a college degree, change career paths or learn about online study options. Participants will be able to meet with admissions advisors, academic advisors and financial aid advisors.
“More and more individuals are making good use of their time to finish a degree or start a new one to make themselves more marketable or to provide them greater job security,” says Roch Whitman, senior associate director of RIT’s part-time and graduate enrollment services. “RIT is here to provide information to those individuals who are interested in completing undergraduate or graduate degrees on a part-time basis.”
