RIT Safety Plan and COVID Dashboard updated

RIT has updated its Safety Plan, which is designed to protect the health and safety of all individuals on campus. In addition, the COVID-19 dashboard has been reset to reflect the start of fall semester. RIT’s COVID-19 dashboard is a source of information for our university community to remain updated on the most accurate data related to campus during the pandemic.

Some of the changes in the Safety Plan include updates for campus visitors. All visitors, contractors, and temporary employees (those hired through a temporary employment agency) are expected to be fully vaccinated before coming onto campus. If not fully vaccinated, all visitors, invited guests, contractors, and temporary employees shall provide proof of a COVID-19 PCR negative test within 72 hours of coming onto campus or proof of a COVID-19 Antigen test on the day of arrival onto campus.

Indoor dining options remain available in identified designated dining areas on campus. Individuals must follow all rules posted for that facility or area. All faculty, staff, and students are required to wear a mask in these spaces until seated and must put their mask back on as soon as they have finished eating or drinking. Unvaccinated individuals must maintain a six-foot distance from others when unmasked for eating or drinking. Vaccinated individuals are not required to distance while eating or drinking, but it is a good idea to distance as much as possible.

The face mask mandate remains in effect. Members of the RIT community, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, are required to wear face masks while indoors in the presence of others, indoors moving through space occupied by others, or outdoors in crowded settings.
