RIT’s SPAS Gallery Hosts Annual Faculty Exhibition
Work of 30 faculty members on view from April 15 to May 5
From fine art to biomedical photography, moving media to photojournalism, the 30-member faculty at Rochester Institute of Technology’s School of Photographic Arts and Sciences literally practice what they teach.
The gallery will host the 2010 Annual Faculty Exhibition with an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. April 15; the show runs through May 5.
“This event illuminates the diversity of photographic innovation and exploration achieved by a faculty whose talents and skills embody much of the breadth and depth of contemporary imaging,” says Therese Mulligan, professor and administrative chair of photographic arts in RIT’s School of Photographic Arts and Sciences.
“They also serve as an example of the accomplishment of practicing educators who continue to contribute to contemporary photography in its entire myriad of forms in art and culture.”
SPAS Gallery, located on the third floor of the Frank E. Gannett Building, is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and by appointment on Saturdays. For more information about upcoming events, call 585-475-2884, or visit SPAS Gallery on Facebook.
