Siewe authors paper on cancer biomarkers
Nourridine Siewe, assistant professor in the School of Mathematical Sciences, is the lead author of a publication in the PLOS ONE journal. “TGF-β inhibition can overcome cancer primary resistance to PD-1 blockade: A mathematical model” introduces two cancer-specific biomarkers and, correspondingly, develops a mathematical model which explains how primary resistance to PD-1 blockade occurs and can be overcome.
