More than 3,200 job-seeking RIT students and alumni flocked to the Gordon Field House for the Fall Career Fair in 2012. Similar numbers are expected for the spring iteration of the campus-wide event.

A record number of employers will attend Rochester Institute of Technology’s campus to meet with thousands of RIT students who are preparing to enter the full-time job market or are looking for co-ops.

RIT’s Office of Cooperative Education and Career Services hosts the Spring 2013 Career Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, in the Gordon Field House and Activities Center. More than 650 representatives from 245 companies and government agencies will be on hand for the event, making this fair the largest for a spring quarter in RIT’s history.

“We are all really excited for a record turnout for the spring career fair,” says Manny Contomanolis, associate vice president for enrollment management and director of the Office of Co-op and Career Services. “It’s a tribute to the quality of RIT students and graduates.”

Companies that plan to be in attendance at the fair include M&T Bank, Apple, Microsoft, Google and many others.

The campus-wide fair is open to all RIT students and alumni only. A valid RIT ID is required for admission. There is no registration fee or pre-registration required for students.

More than 3,000 students and alumni are expected to attend. Candidates may be selected to return the following day or later in the quarter for interviews with one or more of the participating organizations. The Gordon Field House will host a day devoted to interviews following the career fair, on March 21.
