Team has article published on epidemic model

A team of RIT faculty and students had a new study published in Physica D: Nonlinear Phenomena titled, “Analytic solution of the SEIR epidemic model via asymptotic approximant.” They created an analytic solution to the SEIR Epidemic Model that they believe will be helpful in modeling COVID-19. The study was written by Steven Weinstein, head of RIT’s Department of Chemical Engineering; Morgan Holland, a third-year criminal justice student from Oakland, N.J.; Kelly Rogers ’19 (mechanical engineering), a entrepreneurship and innovative ventures graduate student; and Nathaniel Barlow, associate professor in RIT’s School of Mathematical Sciences.
