‘U.S. News’ ranks RIT among best graduate schools - 2020 edition
Rochester Institute of Technology graduate programs are among the best in the nation, according to the U.S. News annual statistical survey of graduate programs published today.
RIT master’s degree programs in engineering, business and physician assistant feature in the U.S. News & World Report 2020 edition of Best Graduate Schools. This year, RIT:
- Tied for 75th in the nation for the best graduate engineering programs, offered by the Kate Gleason College of Engineering;
- Ranked 93rd among the top full-time MBA programs, offered by the Saunders College of Business; and
- Tied 108th among master’s degree programs in physician assistant, offered by the College of Health Sciences and Technology.
U.S. News measures the quality of professional school programs in business, education, engineering, law, medicine and nursing, based on statistical and reputational surveys about the school’s faculty, research and students.
Beyond the six disciplines listed annually, U.S. News also periodically ranks programs in science, social sciences and humanities, fine arts, health and other areas based on academic reputation surveys. These RIT programs remain ranked by U.S. News as follows:
- Tied for 68th among computer science graduate programs, offered in the B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences;
- Tied for 69th among physics graduate programs, offered in the College of Science; and
- Tied for 33rd among fine arts programs and ranked fourth for photography, offered in the College of Art and Design.
