Members of the RIT community filled the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences auditorium to near capacity for the March 5 news conference introducing William W. Destler as RIT's ninth president, effective July 1.
At a March 5 news conference at RIT, Michael Morley, chairman of the RIT Board of Trustees, announced the selection of William W. Destler as RIT's ninth president. Destler, senior vice president for academic affairs and provost of the University of Maryland at College Park, will succeed Albert Simone, RIT president since 1992, effective July 1.
