Welcoming event for new dean of RIT’s E. Philip Saunders College of Business

Rochester and RIT community invited to network with dt ogilvie during reception Oct. 25

The National Black MBA Association Western New York Chapter, Greater Rochester Area Branch of the American Association of University Women, and the Rochester Institute of Technology Office for Diversity and Inclusion are hosting a welcoming reception honoring dt ogilvie, the newly appointed dean of RIT’s E. Philip Saunders College of Business.

The networking reception will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at Perkins Mansion, 494 East Ave.

Dean ogilvie is noted for her extensive international academic reputation in the areas of creativity, design thinking, ingenuity, strategic decision-making, economic development, women’s leadership and entrepreneurship. She earned her Ph.D. in strategic management from The University of Texas at Austin and also holds an executive MBA degree from Southern Methodist University.

Before coming to RIT, ogilvie served as professor of business strategy and urban entrepreneurship at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Rutgers Business School at Newark-New Brunswick. While at Rutgers, she was the founding director of The Center for Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development and founding director of the Scholars Training and Enrichment Program.

Dean ogilvie is a longstanding member of the National Black MBA Association, where she served for nine years on its national board of directors, most recently as vice chair.
