Prepare for a Winter Storm Warning this weekend. The National Weather Service is tracking a substantial amount of snow and bone-chilling winds, which will potentially impact campus activities. As of Jan. 18, the Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 1 p.m. Saturday until 6 p.m. Sunday. Heavy snows may move into the Rochester area by Saturday night into Sunday accompanied by extreme wind-chill conditions. There are no classes scheduled on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, although the university is open. We will update you throughout the weekend if necessary.
In the event of a closing or delay due to weather conditions, RIT would use many methods of communication. These include the RIT homepage, email, text messages, Twitter (@RITtigers) and Facebook.
