Phelan, Ayers co-publish article on sign language integration in dental education

Grace Phelan ’24 (biomedical science) co-published an article with Elizabeth Ayers, senior lecturer in NTID’s Department of Science and Mathematics, titled “Sign Language Integration in Dental Education: A Qualitative Case Study” in the Journal of Health Care Communications. Their research explored the effectiveness of sign language training and assessed its long-term impact on dental students after they completed their studies at the University of West Indies in Mona, Jamaica.
