Annette Reichman currently serves as superintendent of Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind. She previously served as director of the Office of Special Institutions within the U.S. Department of Education where she conducted monitoring and oversight of federally funded special institutions, including NTID. Prior to that, she was the Chief of the Deafness & Communicative Disorders Branch of the Department of Education. From 1985 to 1999, she held various leadership roles at the Valley Center of the Deaf for Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona, including agency director, overseeing 200 relay service operators and 25 staff who provided direct services to the local deaf community.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Gallaudet University and a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Arizona.
