Joelene Orlando
Joelene Orlando currently serves as the executive director/president of Whole Me, Inc., in Syracuse, New York. Whole Me, Inc is a non-profit organization that provides programs and services for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community and their families in early intervention, youth programs, education, workforce, senior care, and interpreting services. Whole Me, Inc. is the largest employer of deaf professionals in Central New York, and provides direct services to those they serve.
She previously held the position of associate director at Whole Me, Inc,. adding programs such as care coordination services, enhanced employment opportunities and pre-school initiatives. From 1989-2017, Orlando has held various leadership roles with at-risk youth, mental health services, seniors, the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, and owned several Subway franchises.
Orlando holds a bachelor’s degree in health and human Services from Ashford University and was a former alumnus of NTID and Rochester School for the Deaf.
