Handbook
This resource is a set of digital and print materials that assist classroom teachers in documenting the Present Level of Educational Performance (PLEP) among their students. This handbook benefits teachers who work in public school settings, particularly those who teach students with a variety of academic needs. Activities and exercises in the handbook are designed for self-paced professional development and/or "use as needed." The PLEP handbook is not a comprehensive manual for addressing all aspects of special education. This resource serves as a guide to support teachers' observations and documentation of student learning behaviors in order to develop appropriate lesson plans and assessments. Professionals who use this handbook may obtain additional support and resources through the TEI course facilitators. The PLEP handbook is currently under development and will be piloted in the Fall 2012.
