Blended Learning Model
This blended learning model incorporates on-line and virtual face-to-face classroom sessions with an instructor experienced in deaf education. This model is appropriate for both veteran professionals and educators new to the field. Each course in the institute is an intensive six to eight week session that requires participants to work independently and in groups to complete course objectives. Participants are enrolled as a cohort in the Fall (September/October) of each project year. The courses run for the duration of the school year, approximately nine months. Upon completion of the whole sequence, professionals are equipped to address the unique educational needs of deaf and hard of hearing students.
