Self-Paced Modules
This model requires participants to work independently to complete course objectives with facilitation by an instructor experienced in deaf education. This model is appropriate for both veteran professionals and educators new to the field. Each course in the institute is an intensive self-paced session. Participants may enroll as a cohort or individually in the Fall (September/October) of each project year. The courses run for the duration of the school year. Completion dates for each course in the sequence are determined through agreements between enrolled participants and the course facilitator(s). Upon completion of the whole sequence, professionals are equipped to address the unique educational needs of deaf and hard of hearing students. These modules are currently under development and will be piloted in the Fall 2012.
