Wong and Estevez present at AGU fall meeting

Tony Wong, assistant professor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, presented “A Bayesian Representation of Learning and Uncertainty in Future Sea-Level Rise and Coastal Impacts” at the American Geophysical Union fall 2024 meeting. Ph.D. student Carolina Estevez Loza also presented “Improving Coastal Adaptation Decision-Making Using a Robust Decision Criterion.” Their research demonstrated that integrating updated sea-level rise data into adaptation policies could mitigate U.S. Gulf Coast damages by over $10 billion.
