2013 Glass Lab Award
The Glasslab Fellowship Award shown was designed by Josh Owen, ID Department Chair and Associate Professor, who worked with the following students and faculty to refine and execute:
Graphic Design – Katie Nix, Vignelli Center for Design Studies
Technical Drawings – Rob Fish, Industrial Design Senior
Glass Fabrication – Tom Zogas, School for American Crafts Senior
The GlassLab Design Fellowship provides one RIT Industrial Design student (either a graduating Senior or a graduating Graduate Student) with an opportunity to explore glass as a medium for rapid prototyping of ideas and participate in a two-day GlassLab session at the Corning Museum of Glass at the end of May each year. In addition to the CMoG session, the student is eligible to receive transportation reimbursement, an overnight stay in a hotel at Corning, a $500 honorarium, and public acknowledgments from both RIT and CMoG.
