3D Modeling Projects
September 27, 2021
A selection of work from 3D Modeling of Organic Forms, a required third-year class for Medical Illustration students.
The 3D modeling course introduces strategies used to create non-uniform rational b-splines (NURBS) and polygonal models of organic subjects in a three-dimensional environment. Assignments stress accurate portrayal of proportions, form and texture. Instruction also focuses on creating lighting and shader networks that emphasize form and are consistent with surface characteristics.
