Backpack
?This project was created for my Autodesk University 2016 class. I wanted to show how effective Fusion 360 and T-Splines are for creating complex organic shapes. The top and bottom covers would be made out of silicone. They stand retracted to access the pockets but they stretch and are fixed to metal tabs when closing the backpack. This feature eliminates need for zippers and other components that make the design more complicated to manufacture and to disassemble for end of life. The main structure uses an organic, open exoskeleton that contains a removable inner bag, which can be used separately to reduce weight and volume. The AU2016 class also focuses on photo-realistic renderings, for which a series of images were created, showing materials such as carbon fiber, silicone, fabric and metal.
