Digital Dance Lesson
Thomas Warfield, colleague, and dance teacher at NTID, agreed to teach these cute avatars to dance. The female avatars were created with a grant from NCWIT and help from Laura Weime. Jack was added later. The plan was to track Thomas doing the dance moves, but he wore all white and we couldn't track him. So Kirk Lansman, student in the 3D Digital Design program agreed to learn the dance moves so that we could track him. We cut the dance moves into clips of motion data. Kirk is behind the screen dropping this clips onto the time line as Thomas requests them and then the kids dance. All four kids are controlled by the same motion data. Thanks to Thomas and Kirk for helping me make this project happen.
