Digital Drawing Course – Concept sketches
Topic: Design for healthy sleeping habits.
In this Project, Sophomore students developed their initial digital drawing skills in the process of design, from ideation to final presentation of a concept, using Sketchbook Pro and a digital tablet. The prompt was "How might we design an object to encourage healthy sleeping habits?". Students did thumbnail sketches, traced photos and simple 3D CAD objects for reference, and presented a digital concept board. Students practiced ideation, line drawing, color fill, text placement, and composition while learning the process of design.
