FLIP For History: Augmented Reality Tourism Grant Work
Funded by the State of New York, this grant combines marketing and tourism with next generation graphics and Augmented Reality. I worked with the co-PIs, Rick Lagiewski, Steve Jacobs, and Joseph Pietruch.
Through this grant we are researching ways to design and deliver next interactive experience which made the user further examine their environment. This was done through a scavenger hunt application which featured three main activities: trivia, spot the difference and augmented reality components. For each site there were 10 trivia, 5 spot the difference and 4 augmented reality experiences developed. In addition the app features database driven log-in, and digital recognition badges to increase interest in a series of 12 regional tourism sites.
