Hospitality Design Studio | INDE 212 | 2019
Sophomores created theoretical restaurants for the DelMonte Hotel Group. The restaurants featured an Italian inspired menu but the design and aesthetics of the space were required to celebrate aspects of the history of the City of Rochester. Themes included photography, the underground railroad, the "flower" and "flour" city as well as others. In order to support the needs of the client, students focused on developing observational and programming skills, applying findings for vigorous functionality, and sparking vibrant creativity in celebrating the 3-dimensional qualities of space, Anthropometrics, ADA and basic code considerations for egress and hazards were applied.
