ilovetypography.com article 2013: the Typographic Carousel with Professor Carol Fillip
Professor Carol Fillip and I wrote an article on the fun, interactive
Typographic Carousel Projects we conduct at RIT every year. The Typographic Carousel is like musical chairs; participants experiment with a different pre-digital or analog typographic technique or process for 15 minutes before visiting another of the 6 terminals. The terminals include letterpress printing, calligraphy, transfer lettering, typeface identification, typographic terminology and making letters and words from everyday objects.
We have approximately 100 participants very year from various disciplines. It's a fun way to reinforce typographic information and to meet new people in the process.
