KEEP Rochester Campaign
KEEP Rochester is a not-for-profit organization that began as a class project in Lorrie Frear's Concept and Symbolism Class in Fall 2010. Julianna Truesdale and Brandon Kelloway teamed up to create a guerrilla-style marketing campaign to promote awareness and education about social issues in the City of Rochester. The original campaign focused on slogans using the word KEEP as the foundation. KEEP Sober,
KEEP Warm, etc were used to educate the public about health
issues such as drug addiction, homelessness and domestic violence. In addition to this part of the campaign, they compiled an extensive list of community resources for individuals affected
by these problems to seek help. These resources were printed and placed around the city where individuals could access them.
Julianna and Brandon then made KEEP Rochester an official RIT Student Organization and worked with a not-for-profit shelter in the City of Rochester that houses victims of domestic violence. Collection bins were placed around the campus to collect soap and other hygiene items, clothing, toys, etc from the RIT community for use at the shelter.
The RIT KEEP Rochester Club
hosted activities for individuals at the shelter to offer support and friendship. Join the Club!
