MFA ID Thesis 2021-22
Industrial Design is a discipline focused on applied knowledge and research. It aims at solving relevant user needs that benefit individuals as well as larger contexts.
The MFA-ID Thesis at RIT is an opportunity to apply each student’s personal interests in design in a real-world scenario. This process demonstrates how theoretical research can impact professional practice and improve strategies for design practice. The design project is a key component of the thesis process, which culminates in public defense and a gallery show in late Spring semester.
The significance of the thesis project goes beyond earning a MFA degree; it is a key tool to transition into the professional field and to make a positive impact in society.
