Molly Enjem ’04
Business Planning Manager, Disneyland Resort

Molly Enjem is a business planning manager at Disneyland Resort, where she applies her industrial engineering expertise to optimize operations and generate new revenue. Early in her career, Enjem focused on traditional industrial engineering tasks, such as conducting time studies, using linear regression to model park hours, and writing requirements for operational research models to schedule group-guided family trips for Adventures by Disney. She later played a key role in the expansion of Disney California Adventure Park, including the construction of Cars Land, where she utilized her project management, facilities design, and analytics skills to ensure the project met requirements and progressed as expected.
“My education at RIT provided the foundation for much of the work I do today,” Enjem says. “From time studies and statistical analysis to programming and facility design, I was able to apply what I learned directly to my job at Disney. And my experience in project management and higher-level math has been essential in solving complex problems.”
After 18 years in industrial engineering, Enjem transitioned to her current role in business planning, where she focuses on creating business cases for revenue-generating ideas across the resort. With knowledge stemming from business courses in her industrial engineering degree, such as operations research and systems and facilities planning, she now works with data to identify opportunities to optimize physical assets, such as improving underutilized spaces to increase capacity.
Enjem credits her co-op experiences for giving her an early start in both technical skills and workplace experience. “Co-ops were invaluable in preparing me for my work at Disney. They gave me a head start in understanding both how to apply what I had been learning in school as well as how to work in an office and industry environment,” she says. She also emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary teamwork, citing her senior design project as excellent preparation for collaborating with diverse teams across Disney.
“My education at RIT gave me the problem-solving tools I need not just in my career, but in life,” she adds. "The core curriculum in industrial engineering, combined with the ability to work across disciplines, has been key to my success.”
