Multi-Story/Multi-Purpose Design Studio | INDE 401
This senior project tasked teams with programming and designing an urban campus in Detroit Michigan. Located in the iconic Detroit Free Press Building, the University is formatted around RIT's NTID. The study of deaf space includes many concepts including: transparency and wider spatial allowances for communication, color contrast in order to enhance visual cues and feed to a high population of visual impairment as well as face to face communication needs. Collaborative zones and "in the round" flexible instructional environments support educational goals.
