Rochester Brainery Calligraphy Workshops
I was invited by the Rochester Brainery to create a two and one half hour workshop for individuals
who wanted to learn some calligraphy. The first workshop, held on December 12, 2013, was called "Calligraphy and Lettering 101". This gave an overview of the proper letterform proportions for Italic.
Because of the short length of the workshop, we used markers instead of nibs and ink. We were able to complete the minuscules so that everyone could write their names at the end of the night.
Fourteen hearty individuals braved some wintery weather to participate…thanks!
I have been invited by the Rochester Brainery to conduct several workshops since this one,
on April 22 and May 6, 2015, and March 9, 2016.
Please see the CV on this site
or lorriefrear.info for more information
on workshops.
