The Thrill of Impactful Research Led Grad to Master's in Science, Tech, and Public Policy

December 18, 2024

“I have always appreciated the liberal arts and examining pressing issues from many angles. This is why I chose a Public Policy BS degree. I wanted to pursue a master’s degree with Science, Technology, and Public Policy because I was excited about completing my own research project, from start to finish, on a problem of my own choosing. I also wanted to sharpen my technical research skills. To complete my thesis, I needed to learn about statistics, data analytics, and quantitative analysis, on top of being able to examine a policy problem from historical, fiscal, political, and societal perspectives.

Science, Technology, and Public Policy enhanced my critical thinking skills while also teaching me a lot about data analysis and technical programs.

My experience with this program has already helped me greatly in my role at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.”
