"Twelve Minus One, Judas Iscariot"
Your art project will consist in your personal interpretation of a subject drawn from the Old Testament, the New Testament, or any chapter in Western European history between circa 500 BCE and 1700 AD, executed in an Early Renaissance (Flemish or Italian) OR Baroque style (Italian, Flemish, French, Dutch, or Spanish).
If these subjects do not appeal to you, you may render a still-life, landscape, figure or portrait, in either an Analytic Cubist OR Synthetic Cubist style.
You will NOT be making a copy after an existing work of art.
Instead you will be interpreting a text, which you will translate into the style of, say, Masaccio, van der Weyden, Rubens, OR Poussin.
Graphite and charcoal, inspired by Albrecht Dürer, April 2018.
