Typeface and Alphabet Design

Advanced design and calligraphy students
who are interested in alphabet and typeface design can do so in several ways:
through independent study projects or in Calligraphy Workshop.

For those students who would like intensive study in this discipline, the renown typographer Kris Holmes offers an intensive course in type design in which students develop a lowercase typeface from their calligraphic hand. Prerequisite for this course is one quarter of my calligraphy course and permission of the instructor.
