NEH Infrastructure and Capacity Building Challenge Grants

Synopsis

The purpose of the program is to strengthen the institutional base of the humanities by enabling infrastructure development and capacity building. Awards of federal matching funds aim to help institutions secure long-term support for their core activities and expand efforts to preserve and create access to outstanding humanities materials.

Multidisciplinary Research Program of the University Research Initiative

The Department of Defense Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative (MURI) is sponsored by the Office of Naval Research (ONR), the Army Research Office (ARO), and the Air Force Office of Scientific Research. It supports basic research in science and engineering at U.S. institutions of higher education and is focused on multidisciplinary research efforts where more than one traditional discipline interacts to provide rapid advances in scientific areas of interest to the Department of Defense.
