Student Health Center

The Student Health Center provides primary and urgent care services for all RIT students. Services range from support for acute medical concerns to injury evaluation, to sexual health and nutrition consultation.

Counseling and Psychological Services offers goal-focused individual and group therapy, crisis support, and psychiatric services in a safe and confidential environment.

Case Management assists students in connecting to resources on- and off-campus, as well as helping students navigate complex personal problems including health insurance, food and housing insecurity, financial concerns, etc.

Reporting an Incident

Online reporting tools are available if you need to report a concern about a friend's well-being or need to report an incident.

Additionally, the Red Folder is a resource available to faculty and staff that provides information on common indicators of student distress, offering in-the-moment process tips, a decision tree, and a detailed list of campus resources.

Wellness Facilities

August Center

Located on the Quarter Mile across from the Hale Andrews Student Life Center, the August Center is home to Counseling and Psychological Services, the Student Health Center, Case Management, RIT Ambulance, and Substance and Alcohol Intervention Services for the Deaf (SAISD). 

Disability Services Office and Test Center

The Disability Services Office is located in the Student Alumni Union and includes a Test Center, consisting of a group-testing room, individual cubicles, and private exam rooms. 

Gordon Field House and Activities Center

Directly attached to the Student Life Center, the 160,000 square foot facility includes a multi-purpose arena, fitness center, and aquatics center.

Hale-Andrews Student Life Center

Services the recreational, athletic, and wellness instructional needs of the RIT community.

Judson/Hale Aquatics Center

The Aquatics Center includes a competition pool, recreation pool, and hot tub.

Nature Trails and Jogging Routes

Beginning behind Grace Watson Hall, there are three nature trails maintained for students and any member of the RIT community to become one with the great outdoors.

Red Barn

Located at the west end of campus, this facility houses Outdoor Education programs and an indoor rock climbing gym.

Turf Field and Tennis Courts

Located near U-Lot, the turf field and tennis courts are used for athletics, wellness, recreation, intramurals, and major campus events. There are nine lighted outdoor tennis courts with windscreens.

Wiedman Fitness Center

Two-story 16,000 square foot area featuring a full range of selectorized machines, free weights, cardiovascular equipment, and a large stretching area.

Better Me - Employee Wellness

Better Me provides comprehensive, innovative health and wellness services and resources to RIT employees that encourage self-efficacy, embrace diversity, enhance employee engagement, and enrich a sense of purpose, both personally and professionally.
