RIT Trustee Andrew Jacobson makes largest commitment by an alumnus to the National Technical Institute for the Deaf
RIT trustee and alumnus Andrew Jacobson has pledged $1 million in support of Rochester Institute of Technology’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf. The Andrew Jacobson Endowed Scholarship represents the largest commitment by an RIT/NTID alumnus in the college’s history.

The new engineering master’s degrees will serve to meet demands in increasing renewable energies, personalized healthcare technologies, and diagnostic system improvements. The project management MS allows students the ability to better specialize to their specific interests, giving them a competitive edge in their field of interest and making them more valuable to an employer.

Livingston County students awarded Saunders College endowed scholarships to attend RIT
Each of the recipients will receive scholarships over the course of four years. The award was established in 2006 by E. Philip Saunders to provide four-year scholarships annually to graduates of designated Livingston County high schools who are enrolled in Saunders College of Business. Since then, he has donated more than $25 million to RIT.

Student team from RIT’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf wins 2024 College Bowl championship
This is the seventh time that an RIT/NTID student team has won the national question-and-answer competition, which consists of topics including arts and literature, history and government, geography, science, technology and nature, sports and leisure, Deaf heritage and culture, entertainment, current events, and mathematics.
