Many RIT alumni have tapped into the craft-beer boom that has swept across the country in the past 10 years.

While he’ll soon step away from the day-to-day at the university to which he has dedicated nearly six decades, R. Roger Remington wants people to know, “I’m not going anywhere.” The Vignelli Distinguished Professor of Design and longest-serving faculty member at RIT will retire in May after 57 years at the university.

Creative Industry Day drew an impressive array of talent seekers from the likes of The Walt Disney Co., Forbes Media and Procter & Gamble anxiously looking to meet with RIT students in a career-fair setting inside Gordon Field House yesterday.

The annual festival, now in its 13th year, is a showcase day for RIT. But Imagine RIT isn’t just a one-day celebration. Every day, RIT students, faculty and staff are working to pair technology, art and design in ways that move the world forward.

Rochester, N.Y.’s notable histories as the birthplace of the women’s rights movement and photography will come together for RIT’s Big Shot next month. Organizers of the longtime community photographic project will capture a dramatic nighttime image of the National Susan B. Anthony Museum & House, 17 Madison St., and surrounding neighborhood on March 22.

The winning design in this year’s Imagine RIT poster contest was created by Jacqueline Lando, a fourth-year student majoring in new media design. Her design—colorful images sprouting from the mind—was chosen from among 28 entries in the contest.  

The Global Opportunities (GO) grant, a partnership between RIT’s College of Liberal Arts and RIT Global, is the latest incentive program to encourage students to experience learning in other countries.

According to GradReports.com, RIT offers the top graphic design program in the country based on graduates' earning potential.

Animation Career Review has again named RIT one of the top game design schools in the country. RIT ranked seventh on the list of Top 50 Game Design Schools in the U.S. and second in New York state.

Vignelli Distinguished Professor of Design R. Roger Remington will deliver the 2020 commencement address at RIT's partnering school in Germany.

RIT will host a discussion featuring printing industry scientists who achieved a historic first: matching image quality and exceeding the consistency of traditional offset printing using a web-fed inkjet printer in production conditions. Print-technology researchers Henry Freedman, Peter Crean, Peter Dundas and Eric Zeise will visit campus Feb. 13.
