RIT appoints new member to Board of Trustees
Hyacinth “Hope” V. Drummond, an RIT alumna, has been appointed to RIT’s Board of Trustees. Drummond also sits on the boards of directors for Sojourner House at Pathstone in Rochester and the Morrison YMCA in Charlotte, N.C. -

Kailey Bradt, a student in RIT’s Master of Science in product development program from Corning, N.Y., won first place and $10,000 in the “Products” category at the eighth annual New York Business Plan Competition for OWA Haircare, a waterless shampoo product. -

NASA astronaut photography gets big boost from RIT
Kevin Moser, an imaging science student, and alumnus Peter A. Blacksberg ’75 (photography) met with the heads of various NASA departments to present an algorithm that Moser developed to remove the effects of damaged pixels in photographs by astronauts on the International Space Station. -

A decade of innovation, creativity engages thousands
The 10th Imagine RIT festival drew big crowds, despite cool and rainy weather. Tens of thousands came to experience nearly 400 exhibits in science, technology, engineering, fine arts and mathematics, including student research projects and displays organized by campus clubs. -
