    Office of Veteran Student Success opens at RIT

    RIT is making it easier for military veterans and their families to attend college by opening the Office of Veteran Student Success. While RIT has long offered support to veterans, this is the first time a central office and space has been dedicated to support them.

    Distinguished alumni named for 2022-2023

    Eleven RIT alumni have been awarded Distinguished Alumni Awards for the 2022-2023 year. It is the highest award an RIT college can bestow upon its alumni and recognizes alumni who have performed at the highest levels of their profession or who have contributed to the advancement and leadership of civic, philanthropic, or service organizations. The 2022-2023 recipients will be honored during presentations throughout the academic year.

    RIT university-wide career fair draws thousands of students in search of new pathways

    Roughly 4,000 RIT students and alumni came to RIT’s university-wide career fair today in search of co-ops, internships, or full-time employment. Recruiters from nearly 230 local, regional, and national companies, including Thomson Reuters, Kodak Alaris, Collins Aerospace, L3Harris, and O’Connell Electric Co., were present.

    RIT among ‘Most Trusted Universities’ in the nation

    RIT is among the nation’s “Most Trusted Universities” in a recent nationwide survey conducted by decision intelligence company Morning Consult, which defined trust as the belief in an institution “to do the right thing.” RIT ranks No. 37 in public trust among the top 135 doctoral research universities featured in the U.S. News & World Report's 2022 Best National University Rankings.

    RIT offerings at this year’s Rochester Fringe Festival

    RIT students, faculty, and staff will contribute music, dance, comedy, poetry, photojournalism, and more during the 11th annual Rochester Fringe Festival, which begins Sept. 13 and continues through Sept. 24 in downtown Rochester.
