Charity Auction

RIT Croatia’s Charity Auction is a cherished tradition, proudly carried on for 21 years by the Student Government. Every year, students select a deserving organization to support, setting the stage for an incredible season of giving. Starting in early October, they reach out to partner companies and rally the entire campus community—students, faculty, and staff alike—to contribute to this meaningful cause.

Over the years, the Charity Auction has evolved into a two-part event featuring both silent and live auctions. This year’s Charity Auction 2024 continues that tradition with a hybrid format, offering everyone a chance to participate.

The silent auction kicks off on December 2, 2024, providing the RIT Croatia community with a fantastic opportunity to snag thoughtful Christmas gifts for loved ones—or perhaps even themselves! The excitement peaks on December 6, 2024, with live auction events taking place simultaneously at two vibrant locations: Love Bar in Dubrovnik and the Galleria Importanne Business Center in Zagreb.

The live auctions promise more than just bidding wars—they’re lively, interactive celebrations of community spirit. With top-tier items reserved for this portion, attendees are in for a treat. Adding to the fun, a photo booth and a wheel of fortune will be available at both venues, ensuring there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Plus, the live event wouldn’t be complete without a few good-natured pranks on the Student Government president and vice president, all in the name of charity!

When the bidding ends, all donations are tallied, and the funds are given to the chosen organization, making a real difference in the community. Don’t miss this chance to join the RIT Croatia family in supporting an incredible cause while enjoying the festive spirit of giving.

The Put u Život (PUŽ) Association was founded in 1995 by a group of parents of children with developmental disabilities. Over time, the members' activities have gone beyond the scope of a self-help group towards an association that works to increase the quality of life of families with children and youth with developmental disabilities, create a support network, and advocate for their rights. Their activities include rehabilitation, educational, and recreational activities for children with developmental disabilities, their parents, and siblings. Today, PUŽ is a strong parents' association, recognized in the local community and the Republic of Croatia.
