Services and Support
Student well-being is a key component of student life at RIT Croatia.
We are committed to creating excellent learning experiences for our students. Our multifaceted approach to students encompasses all aspects of their personal well-being, including mental, physical and emotional health. The individualized approach to students, and the comprehensive support they receive from day one, is one of the factors that make us their first choice.
Faculty Support
Our faculty is available to all students in fostering an individualized approach to each student. They can guide students with subject matter inquiries, technical information, undergraduate school processes, and employment opportunities. Tutoring is available for various courses, which is offered to all students who require additional help with their studies, free of charge.
Academic Advisors
An academic advisor guides and supports students through their time at RIT Croatia in order to help them successfully complete their degree program. Academic advisors regularly meet with students and help them navigate through their chosen area of study as well as assist with course planning for each semester.
Ombudsperson
The college ombudsperson is a resource available to RIT Croatia students who seek confidential assistance with their academic concerns. Should students need to talk or are facing challenges they can see the Ombudsperson for confidential assistance. Additional counselling services are available and options will be explored with the assistance of the Ombudsperson.
Career Advisors
Our Career Services Department help prepare students for a successful integration into the job market and help them with their career plans. Our career advisers organize various industry guest lectures, and business networking opportunities for students, including our Career Education Day. They help with students' contacts with potential employers, and assist them in finding co-op placements.
Peer Mentoring
Peer mentoring is a very successful support mechanism at RIT Croatia recognized and accepted by our students. It is a system in which excellent students help first-year students to adjust to the U.S. educational system. The support includes providing advice and assistance regarding college matters and student life in general.
Student Clubs and Organizations
Extracurricular activities, socializing and having fun are also an important part of studying at RIT Croatia. Our students volunteer, participate in student clubs, and are engaged in Student Government. They have the opportunity to participate in research projects with our faculty, participate in rich student life, form lasting friendships and create unforgettable memories.
Campus Facilities
Classrooms and computer labs at both of our campuses are equipped with state-of-the-art technology including the latest Apple and Lenovo computers. Our multimedia classrooms at both campuses are equipped with POLYCOM and CISCO video conferencing systems. Students have access to RIT’s award-winning Wallace Library, with access to more than 80,000 electronic journals, more than 500,000 e-Books and more than 230 databases from our main campus in Rochester, New York.
Free Access to Gyms
Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body! We have an outsourced gym option in both Zagreb and Dubrovnik. Use of gyms is free of charge for all our students and employees. Students can contact RIT Croatia reception for information on free access to fitness facilities.
RIT Croatia Alumni Association
Established in 2003, this association is very active in its work. Our alumni serve as guest lecturers, offer opportunities for co-ops and employment to our students, work as mentors for students, and organize alumni related events and activities.
