Financial Aid and Scholarships
We’re Here to Make U.S. Top Quality Higher Education Within Reach
Your education is a wise investment in your future. Through high-quality academic programs and the benefits of prestigious American and European diplomas, RIT Croatia offers an excellent return on that investment.
We are committed to making education affordable and accessible by investing more than 350,000 EUR each year to assist first-year students and their families in meeting the cost of an RIT Croatia education.

Financial Aid
Financial aid represents non-refundable monetary funds applied towards the tuition cost of attending RIT Croatia. To be eligible for financial support, you must go through the admissions process and be accepted for enrollment.
Financial aid is awarded in the amount ranging from € 1,000 to € 10,000. The amount awarded is deducted from the total tuition amount. The total amount of financial aid granted is divided into eight semesters of study. If you apply by February 15, you will be given priority consideration for financial aid. Applications received after February 15 will be considered for financial aid if the remaining funds are available.
Financial aid is awarded to students primarily based on financial need (estimated income of parents/guardians, possible financial burdens of the family, the number of household members, etc.), but we also look at the motivation for studying at RIT Croatia (assessed through the motivational essay/motivational interview) and academic achievements during high school.
Scholarships
Unlike financial aid, which is granted primarily based on the financial needs of the candidates, scholarships are granted to students who meet certain criteria related to their academic and other achievements or success achieved in the scholarship contests organized by RIT Croatia. Some scholarships are combined with financial aid, while in some cases, students will need to pick one or the other.
When applying for admission, students should confirm their interest in scholarships in the application form. Students will then receive further instructions from our Admission Specialists, and further steps might include submitting a scholarship application letter or some other supporting document (depending on the type of scholarship).
The Scholarship Committee will evaluate every scholarship application and make decisions on a monthly or bi-weekly basis, depending on the time of the year (except Outstanding Scholarship and Welcome to Croatia Scholarship, which will be approved for all candidates who meet the criteria).
When assessing applications, the Scholarship Committee looks at specific achievements and quality required by each of the scholarship categories but also takes into consideration the candidate's potential to be successful in the chosen study program.
Who Can Apply for Financial Aid or Scholarships?
Incoming Students
Eligible students are all high school students who are in their final year of high school, students who wish to transfer from other universities (transfer students), and candidates who finished high school in the previous years. For more details, please contact our Admissions Department.
Current Students
RIT Croatia awards outstanding students’ scholarship awards on an annual basis. The award requirement is that students maintain a semester GPA of 3.0 or higher, as well as have no offenses of academic dishonesty or disciplinary probation/suspension. Failure to meet these requirements results in the students foregoing their scholarship award. In addition, if students break their studies for any reason (co-op, etc.), they will forfeit the remaining portion of their scholarships. For more details, please contact our Finance Department.

Student Employment
All full-time students studying the undergraduate programs at RIT Croatia are eligible for student employment at our campuses or outside of RIT Croatia. This is a good opportunity for you to earn some additional money and help boost your student budget. The hourly rate of student pay is determined by Croatian Law on student workers pertaining to student employment and is dependent upon the skill or experience required for the job. Student employees are paid monthly via contracts from the Student Center (Studentski Centar) in Zagreb or Dubrovnik. Student Center is a public organization in Croatia that deals with student employment, student housing, and student meal plans on a national level. Every city that has institutions of higher education has its own Student Center and all registered full-time students that study in Croatia can use their services.
At RIT Croatia, there are a variety of on-campus student employment opportunities. We offer up to 40 student positions annually and we announce these part-time student employment opportunities to all current students via e-mail on a regular basis. Such positions can include working at the library, computer lab, or at the Student Services reception desk. The hourly rate for student employment at RIT Croatia depends on the position, and it can vary from 4,38 to 66,36 EUR per hour.
