Research

Research is at the heart of academia and a fundamental pillar at RIT Croatia. Our faculty engage in scientific research across five diverse disciplines: social sciences, technical sciences, humanities, natural sciences, and interdisciplinary studies. Through research, we strive to make an impact.

Due to its research output in social sciences, technical sciences, humanities, natural sciences, and interdisciplinary studies, RIT Croatia became a research institution in 2020. Our faculty's diverse research interests and expertise have led to numerous conference presentations and publications, enriching both the classroom experience and student learning. A key aspect of our research culture is the collaboration between faculty and students, often resulting in joint conference presentations or co-authored publications. Ongoing scientific efforts are essential for our faculty to remain current with emerging concepts, challenges, and technologies, ensuring our students receive an education grounded in real-world applications. RIT Croatia strongly advocates for research that informs teaching.

In August 2024, RIT Croatia’s Academic Senate adopted the 2024–2028 Research Strategy. The Strategy is based on ten goals that chart a sustainable growth of the research output in the next period.
