The 24th RIT Croatia Career Days were held in Dubrovnik and Zagreb

RIT Croatia’s 24^th Career Education Days, under the theme “Navigating a Changing Landscape with Confidence”, were held from March 20 – 22, 2024. Students had the opportunity to take part in more than 40 different activities.

This year's event brought together more than 1,000 participants; with a total number of 109 companies with over 200 representatives from 12 countries participating. An interesting fact is that over 30 company representatives were RIT Croatia's Alumni!

Students connected with representatives of various industries and explored career development opportunities in a dynamic environment. The first two days of the event were dedicated to virtual interactions, while the last day was reserved for personal contact and interaction on the campuses in Dubrovnik and Zagreb. Various events were available, including panels, workshops, interviews for student internships, individual consultations and opportunities to visit company stands, thus providing students with the opportunity to establish contacts and exchange experiences with representatives of renowned companies.

"I am extremely glad that, within the framework of our career days, we continue to bring representatives of the most successful domestic and foreign companies that we connect with students. We believe that it is important that students are connected with employers from day one, and that they have an opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in the real world. This year's Career Education Days provided an outstanding opportunity for our students to gain insight into contemporary trends and demands of the labor market. Through interaction with more than 100 companies, students had the opportunity to expand their network, talk to professionals from various industries, and hear about perspectives and opportunities for further career development", said the dean of RIT Croatia, Dr. Irena Guszak.

Career Education Day is also an event where we recognize our industry partners on multiple levels, faculty members, and students who excelled at their co-ops. This year, the awards went to:

• Industry Teacher award - Morgan Stanley, One & Only Portonovi and 404 Agency
• Breakout Star award -  Mindsmiths and InterCapital Asset Management d.o.o.
• Frequent Flyers award -  Nestlé Adriatic d.o.o.
• Experiential Learning Ambassador award - Stefanie Hudspeth, dr. Ante Poljičak, dr. Vanja Vejzagić and Kevin Walker
• Exceptional Co-op Student Performance award -  Marin Nikolić (WMC Dubrovnik), Jana Radonjić (HTM Dubrovnik), Tara Rakočević (GBM/IB Zagreb) and Vito Schuster (WMC Zagreb)
