5^th Hackaton Dubrovnik to take place on April 13-14, 2019

Yet another year, yet another happening (or a competition if you will) our students are always interested in: Hackaton Dubrovnik! Over the past 5 years, our students have actively participated and achieving excellent results! And yes, they will be doing the same this year.

Organized by DURA in partnership with RIT Croatia, Futura and University of Dubrovnik, it will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 13^th and 14^th, 2019 at the Royal Princess Hotel, Royal Banquet Hall.

Theme for this Hackathon is Smart City and the objective of is to spread knowledge, motivate developers and other citizens to use smart city technology to solve problems in everyday environments. Goal is to educate and recognize talents, connect them with experts and mentors, and enable them to develop joint projects with technologies that solve real city problems.

The event itself will last 36 hours after which the jury will announce winning teams, who will receive following awards:

• 1st place - 10.000,00 kuna cash prize
• 2nd place - 4 x Arduino Starter kit
• 3rd place - 4 x Starter kit for Arduino
