RIT Croatia Alumni Office organized the RIT Global Day of Service 2018 that was held on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 at RIT Croatia campus in Dubrovnik.

RIT Global Day of Service is a joint effort between our alumni chapters around the world with the goal of bonding together and making a difference in our communities through service projects.

Since this year's International Literacy Day was marked on September 8th, it has been decided to engage in activities relevant to that particular day. RIT Croatia Alumni were invited to donate books for an Elementary school in Cavtat and for Club 65+ that operates within the Croatian Red Cross Association in Dubrovnik. Books were collected at the RIT Croatia Dubrovnik campus, and we've had members of our Alumni Association, faculty, staff and current students taking part in the donation, as well as some other citizens of Dubrovnik who decided to join us in this action.

Following the action, the representatives of RIT Croatia delivered the books to mentioned institutions. On behalf of Elementary School Cavtat, the donation was received by the schools' librarian, Ms. Ivana Miletić, and the school's principal, Ms. Kate Kukuljica, who thanked all participants for making this effort.

On behalf of Club 65+, the books were received by one of the Red Cross volunteers, Ms. Katarina Miklej.

We would like to take this opportunity and thank all members of RIT Croatia community, as well as all citizens of Dubrovnik who took the time and effort to contribute with their donations.
