Friday May 13th in Zagreb and Saturday May 14th in Dubrovnik were two very special days when all the faculty and staff joined the senior students in celebrating their four year achievement at the Commencement Ceremonies. We had over 190 students in both campuses that walked the stage and were able to share their special day with their families and friends.

We also had some special guests as part of the platform party that shared this special day with the graduates and they included Dr. James Watters, RIT Croatia Board Chair, and RIT's Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration; Dr. Anna Stenport, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts from Rochester; Mato Franković, Mayor of Dubrovnik and RIT Croatia alumnus; Izet Ždralović, Co-Founder Microblink and RIT Croatia alumnus; Helena Rosandić, Founder and CEO of Startaparat and 1MillionStartups and RIT Croatia alumna; and Božana Zekan, Assistant Professor, Department of Tourism and Service Management, Modul University, Vienna, Austria and RIT Croatia alumna; and Angela Krčelić Founder and CEO of Laval Agency, RIT Croatia alumna and the Vice President of RIT Croatia Alumni Association.

A traditional part of our commencement ceremonies is awarding faculty members nominated by their peers, students as well as members of the staff, with Faculty Excellence in Teaching Awards. Associate Dean Dr. Irena Guszak shared this year's recipients at the ceremonies: Dr. Ante Poljičak and Dr. Jakob Patekar for Zagreb campus, and Milena Kužnin and Dr. Besim Agušaj for Dubrovnik campus.

Finally commencement ceremonies would not be what they are without the speeches from the Voices of Students - Valedictorians! This year's Dubrovnik campus Valedictorian Filip Stanišić welcomed the graduating class by telling them to be proud of their achievement, especially in view of global pandemic which

brought upon new challenges. Zagreb campus Valedictorian, Dino Muharemagić emphasized the importance of life-long learning and the desire to learn, and marked the commencement as a celebration of the students' educational journey.
