Imagine RIT Global Competition Invites RIT Croatia Students to Showcase Creativity on the Global Stage

Every year, RIT hosts its signature event, Imagine RIT, at the main campus—a celebration that brings together the imaginative and innovative spirit of RIT students, faculty, and staff. Drawing thousands of visitors, the festival is an open invitation to the entire RIT community, including global campuses. Watch the highlights from last year's festival at this link.

Mark your calendars! The 2024 Imagine RIT Festival will take place on April 27, 2024

To provide a stage for students from global campuses to present their work, RIT organizes an annual Imagine RIT Global Competition. This competition invites one winning team from each campus, composed of a maximum of three students, to travel to the main Rochester campus. These talented individuals will have the honor of showcasing their projects at a premier location, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of Imagine RIT.

Student teams are encouraged to include one RIT faculty advisor, though it is not mandatory. The proposals will undergo a meticulous review process led by a committee representing each RIT global campus. Submissions for the Imagine RIT Global Competition must be received by Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 3:00 PM EST.

RIT Croatia debuting in Rochester last year with AgRITourism project

Last year, RIT Croatia proudly participated in Imagine RIT through the AgRITourism project. Crafted by International Business program students Mia Ivančić, Marta Primorac, and Tara Rakočević, under the mentorship of Dr. sc. Kristina Šorić, the exhibit presented an agrifood tourism supply chain.

Focusing on local small family farms producing organic products, and local small restaurants and hotels, the project utilized a "Farm Game"—a creative variation of the MIT Boston’s Beer Game. Plush toys in the form of fruits, vegetables, and cheese replaced the traditional beer components. Visitors actively participated in the game, gaining insights into supply chain management strategies, processes, and operations for optimization.
