RIT Croatia students collected a record 7,300 EUR at the annual Charity Auction

For over two decades, RIT Croatia students have marked the holiday season by organizing the traditional Charity Auction—an event that unites students, faculty, and staff in support of those in need.

This year’s auction was another resounding success, featuring online bidding through the AirAuctioneer platform, community donations, and live events in Dubrovnik’s Love Bar and Zagreb’s Galleria Business Center. Students, faculty, alumni, and staff came together to bid on unique items, bake homemade treats, and perform live Christmas songs, all in the spirit of giving.

Through these collective efforts, an incredible 7,300 EUR was raised for PUŽ Association, an organization dedicated to increasing the quality of life of families with children and youth with developmental disabilities.

Marin Grabovac, President of the Student Government, reflected on the event:
“The success of this year’s Charity Auction speaks volumes about the heart and dedication of the RIT Croatia community. Every year, we see more students stepping up, contributing their time, creativity, and enthusiasm to make this event a success. From giving live Christmas song performances at the live auction to baking muffins together, it is amazing to see how everyone finds their own way to make a difference. This is a true reflection of our community spirit—when we come together, we achieve something truly special. Events like this go beyond just raising money; they teach students the value of giving back and inspire a sense of purpose. It shows them how even small acts, when combined, can have a big impact. This kind of hands-on involvement builds a lasting connection to the idea of helping others, something that I believe will stay with our students throughout their lives.”

Each year, the Charity Auction continues to grow, demonstrating the generosity, creativity, and compassion of RIT Croatia’s students, alumni, faculty, and staff. This record-breaking result is proof that together, we can make a lasting impact on our community!
