It was a long weekend full of anticipation for participants of the 5th Hackathon Dubrovnik organized by DURA Agency in partnership with RIT Croatia and University of Dubrovnik. This creative competition was held in Hotel Royal Princess in Dubrovnik and it lasted from Saturday, April 13 starting at 9:00 am until Sunday, April 14 at 9:00 pm. Eight teams of young, innovative and enthusiastic IT experts-in-the-making did their best in demonstrating their skills and ideas in a fun and healthy competitive environment.

We are proud to announce that the team of RIT Croatia students from Dubrovnik campus called "Skrrah Industries" won this year's Hackathon Dubrovnik with the project called Smart House Box! The team members are Frano Nola, Stjepan Brzica, Klara Lucianović, Tomo Kulušić and Petar Klešković, and their Smart House Box is a web application that enables its users a simple insight into expense an allows quick and simple payment of water and electricity invoices. The team made an effort to also develop a prototype of hardware components and live monitoring of usage of mentioned utilities. The application is adapted for Dubrovnik market in its initial phase, but with a few adjustments it can be applied to other cities as well.

Besides the winning team, RIT Croatia had two other teams participating and they demonstrated high level of skills and creativity at this contest.
